I’ve come to the end of my two week Special K Challenge and I feel great!

I did it. I stayed on The Special K Challenge for TWO WHOLE weeks. Perhaps this seems like child’s play to those of you who have stuck to a diet for a lot longer than 14 days- but for me–it was revelatory. Why was this Special K Challenge so gosh darn special you ask? Well it’s because I have never stuck to anything– except for my marriage and religion. Those are pretty much the only two constants that I’ve managed to hold firm to for the last 38 years of life on this planet.

So why and how did I manage to stick to the Special K Challenge for two solid weeks when I’ve NEVER EVER been able to deny myself my daily bagel drenched in hot butter?! Because a) I am a cereal FIEND! I can and have been known to eat bowls of cereal three times a day and one of my favorites has always been Special K. Of course on this challenge not only was I able to eat their signature cereal as well as try their other cool, new flavors (which I can say with certainty are all really good!) but they’ve also got these yummy shakes, strawberry protein meal bars and Sea salt chips which not only satisfy my need for both the sweet and savory- but NONE are empty calories and, actually, are chock full of protein-so they STAVE off the munchies. I KNOW–it doesn’t get better!

So the real question…did I drop any poundage during this challenge? And the answer is YES. How many pounds you ask? Well while I didn’t drop six pounds, I did drop three pounds- three hard won, hard fought pounds– and more than the poundage- I feel better. I feel healthier and I feel really good that I was able to stick to this healthy eating challenge, and that next week when I need to shimmy into a bathing suit– perhaps *fingers crossed* I won’t feel the need to pair it with an oversized t-shirt.

Would I recommend this Special K Challenge as a good eating plan and one that will help you curb your appetite in a healthy way? The answer is a RESOUNDING YES! In fact we will continue to stock up on their chips, bars and cereals– because now my kids and husband want to share in their goodness.

So what are you waiting for? Take the challenge!

Of course: Consult your physician before starting any diet or exercise program. Average weight loss when replacing meals with two cereal meals is 4.8 pounds. Weight loss may vary. Average waist circumference reduction when replacing meals with two cereal meals is 1.3 inches. Weight loss may vary.

I participated in this program through a partnership with TheMotherhood on behalf of Special K. I received product and supplies to complete the plan. All opinions and statements are based on my own opinion and experience.
