Sundays with the sugar daddy: the Superbowl edition and a MEGA Harry & David Giveaway

I’ve mentioned before that I’m sports widow- my husband will watch and or listen to any live sporting event except for Hockey. Although if I begin to nag him to do something- he could probably be pushed into watching an NHL game. Of course the Superbowl for him is really just another game- because as a staunch fan- he watches ALL the games- not just the glitzy glam ones that Beyonce is performing at. I wish I could say that I will be watching the Superbowl with him, but try as he might, I still have not gotten a handle on the rules and attraction of football.
Me: I really have tried to understand the whole down system.
The sugar daddy(shaking his head and laughing):You haven’t given it a real try , it;s definitely not that complicated.
Me: You explained it to me several times, I still don’t get it.
The sugar daddy: Well the superbowl will be fun because of the commercials, Madonna and all the pomp and circumstance.
Me: Maybe we should have a party:
The sugar daddy: I don’t like superbowl parties.
Me: Why not?
The sugar daddy: Because you don’t get to watch the game- no one is really watching the game.
Me: Even the guys?
The sugar daddy: Well there are just too many distractions at a party, and it attracts the non-football fan.
Me: You mean people like me?
The Sugar daddy: yes.
Me: So what should I do while you’re watching the game- especially because I have no idea what’s going on?
The sugar daddy: I like you to watch with me.
Me: No you usually tell me I’m asking too many questions and that I make you miss the good plays.
The sugar daddy: Well my ideal day for Spending Superbowl Sunday is to turn on the pregame shows and start cooking. This year I’m making a special superbowl chili.
Me: Wait what does this have to do with me, and our relationship and my aversion to football?
The sugar daddy: Nothing except you get to eat chili.

Of course the Harry and David gift box would bring us closer together. The game begs for snacks and both of us have diet issues. We try, but the game is one of those times when rules get broken. Super bowl with all the great commercials is one time its good to have the food prepositioned.

My husband follows a low carb diet so this snack box is right up his alley!
